Our Final Completed Trailer - Elimination

This is our final completed trailer for Elimination. We added the quotes and added a fade to black at the beginning of the trailer. We also addeed the green screen at the beginning of the trailer. We have researched and explored differetn trailers such as Prom Night and Scream, to get ideas of shots and the structure of the trailer. We based our trailer, such as editing and shots, on Prom Nights trailer as the concept of Prom Night is sort of the idea of Elimination. We created the editing roughly the same as Prom Night... with the fast flashing images, fast pace editing and the non-diegetic sound throughout the trailer. We are pleased with the final trailer of Elimination.

Final Film Poster - Elimination

This is my final film poster for. I have already uploaded it on blogger and after consideration and looking at other film posters, i feel this is perfect for a film poster for Elimination.

Final Film Magazine Front Cover - Elimination

This is my final film magazine front cover. I took away the text as i wanted it to be as if it was an collecters copy and official Elimination copy of Empire. Using the Batman copy of Empire as a guid to what i wanted my copy to look like, the Batman copy is a collecters copy and you collect Batman and the Joker copy of Empire. I wanted my cover to be like that as if you colleted it and it was a great issue not a standard issue of Empire.

Our Production Company & Trailer Info Green Screen

Universal is the production company we chose for our trailer. We have also included the green screen for our trialer to make it seem more authentic.

Our New Edited & Changed Trailer - Elimination

We looked around at more horror music and came across the theme song from 28 weeks later, we listened to it and thought that we could use this music instead of the Scream theme song. We edited it with our trailer and found we preffered this music instead. We also felt that the Scream music was good however it didnt really build up any suspense for our audience. The other sounds we looked at and considered for our trailer were; Massive Attack - Tear Drop (Instrumental), and Massive Attack - Paradise Circus. We feel the theme song for 28 weeks later builds up suspense and also makes the trailer more scarier.  We also preferred this sound on our trailer as we have several and fast shots withhin our trailer and we felt that the Scream music didnt really go with it. We feel this adds to the fast shots and again builds up suspense. The name of the song from 28 weeks later is 'In the house, in a heartbeat' by John Murphy.

28 Weeks Later Theme Song

Massive Attack - Teardrop (Instrumental)

Massive Attack - Paradise Circus

We have also moved a couple of shots around and added a few shots. We have repeated some of the same shot, of the main female character Ashely running to mess around with the time - of what is happening now and what did happen leading up until the end of the trailer. We did this in order for our audience to flick between the past and the present and also to emphasise on the fact that he ends up getting to Ashely. But also to show what happened with the other characters and show what happens to them in order for him to get to her.

We are still going to add a few more tone cards on a few shots for example "Empire - Best Horror Of 2011 ****" to add more effect and build up the suspense on the trailer.

Final Completed Film Magazine Cover - Elimination

This is my final completed film magazine cover. I changed the title of the magazine (Empire) and added an outer glow around the title. I feel this title comes across more spooky and adds to the horror edition of the magazine. I also arranged the text at the bottom of the cover so that it took up abit more space along the bottom and made it more spread out. I also changed my barcode as i felt it was abi too bit, i also changed the angle of it so that it was on its side.
